How to Fix Apps Crashing or Being Buggy on Samsung phones

wallpapers News 2021-09-07
Many Galaxy smartphone and tablet owners have complained about apps crashing on their devices. The problem is not limited to Samsung devices. As of yesterday, this is a common issue affecting many Android users around the world. If you're one of those people, you can use a simple solution to fix these app crashes.
The problem has to do with a system component called the Android WebView. Google has released a buggy component update through the Play Store, causing many users' apps to crash. If you're experiencing the same problem on a Samsung Galaxy smartphone or tablet, you should try checking the Play Store and updating the Android System WebView app.
If you can't find the update, you can fix it by uninstalling the latest update to the Android WebView.
You can perform the following steps on a device running One UI 3:
Navigate to Settings » Applications
Now click the Sort button (with a down arrow), enable the Display System application toggle, and then click OK.
Now go to the Android Web View and click on it.
Click on the three dots in the upper right corner of the screen.
Now select Uninstall update
If your device is running Android 9, you can do the following:
Navigate to Settings » Applications
Click on the three dots in the upper right corner of the screen.
Now click Show System Application.
Now go to the Android Web View and click on it.
Now select Uninstall update.
Alternatively, you can try uninstalling the Android Web View update directly from the Play Store.
Samsung's official Twitter support account tweeted a solution to the problem after receiving many complaints from Galaxy phone owners. Google has acknowledged the problem and has begun updating the Android Web View to fix the bug. However, as the update is being rolled out in phases, the new version may not reach you today.
Restarting the Samsung Galaxy is the basic adjustment needed to fix app crashes or bug issues. Doing so will refresh all previously opened applications. Then try opening the application again. If they are still buggy or crash frequently, use the fixes listed below for further troubleshooting.
